There are some sub-trends that are true gems, with staying power that can last a while. Y2K, the futuristic fashion trend from the late 90s and early 2000s is back, and an identifying factor of Gen Z. While it’s rare for millennials to get excited about a style based on low-rise pants and crop tops – after being spoiled for so long with high-waisted denim and leggings, Gen Z has been a champion of the trend that blends pop culture, neon colors, and vintage tech advancements, setting them apart.

For many, June is a month-long celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, and how far we’ve come as a society in getting them the rights and recognition they deserve. Pride Month serves as an opportunity to raise awareness to barriers that the LGBTQ+ community still faces, especially in recent months with different legislation being introduced around the country. It also serves as a call for allyship for people to continue to support and embrace the community advocate for those they love.

To understand fashion from this lens was eye opening, and so is the fact that while millennials are eating up these trends that subconsciously make them consent to the culture around them, Gen Z is paving the way with their own style that disregards these trends and puts sustainability and authentic personality first.
In effort to keep myself interested in the well-being of these tiny bits of prickly paradise, I figured I might pay attention more if they were planted in unusual little pots. Not things that you expect a plant to be in, things that I can find around the house already. So here were my top few strange succulent pot picks.
It seems like everyone is getting married this summer. Or if not married, then engaged. For the past six months social media has been crowded with romantic posts of doting boyfriends down on one knee (including mine!), bachelorette squads taking over beaches and bars, and the sweet smiles of the couple’s first look on their special day.

Is it just me, or does the first warm day get you excited to shop for spring trends? In New York City, Fashion Week just ended, getting everyone excited for fall and winter styles for the upcoming year. This was the first time I’d had the chance to go to some shows in person since 2020, so it was especially exciting to see the fashion community showing up dressed to the nines in some awesome looks that showed they were also ready for spring.
As February 14th approaches, retail stores are shouting reminders from pink and red window displays to not forget to pick up something special for your special someone. The sentiment to spoil your loved ones is something to consider all throughout the year, not just one day! This means thinking about how your actions or gift might go further than just one night and have a lasting impact. Try gifting from the heart this year, thinking about experiences and sentiment more so than material items.
