Innovative Fund Creates Local Jobs, Expands Goodwill’s Mission

Each year, tens of thousands of people are employed and millions receive mission services. To accelerate the creation of jobs and expansion of mission-related services, in 2013 Goodwill Industries International began offering a financing opportunity to enable more local Goodwill organizations to access the funds they need to improve existing sites and to open new stores and donations centers. Do You Know the Person in the Mirror?

In my husband, I see an adoring father, a hard-working grad student and a great friend – in addition to Sgt. Johnson of the U.S. Marines. Each of these roles is intrinsically part of who he is, but they are by no means the same person. The first time I saw Devin Mitchell’s Veteran Vision Project, the idea that there are two sides to every veteran immediately resonated with me.
