Goodwill of the Olympics & Rainier Region (Tacoma, WA) is piloting an innovative program called Inside Out for offenders trapped in a cycle of dependence within our prison systems. The program offers solutions and a second chance to many in need who end up in prison, returning to the streets only to seek re-incarceration as their only option.

The FATHER Project Continues to Provide Key Resources to Community

With Father’s Day around the corner, initiatives like The FATHER Project, created by Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota (St. Paul), remind us of the work being done to ensure that parents have the opportunity to play a positive role in the lives of their kids. The mission of the program is to assist fathers in overcoming the barriers that prevent them from supporting their children economically and emotionally.

Goodwill L.I.F.E. Academy Celebrates Tenth Graduation

L.I.F.E. Academy, which opened a decade ago this August, celebrated its tenth graduating class on May 28 in the Edgewood Elementary School auditorium. Six graduates received diplomas or certificates of completion from Principal Lynn Pottorf and Pamela LaRiviere of the Lee County School Board.

Goodwill Community Foundation Provides Supplies to Students Across NC

This year the Goodwill Community Foundation (GCF) will distribute 5,000 school supply kits across more than 20 counties in eastern North Carolina as part of a partnership program with schools and youth programs. This is a demonstration of the GCF goal to create opportunities for a better life through supporting the academic success of children in eastern North Carolina, especially those living at or near poverty.

LA Goodwill Makes Special Vintage Fashion Available for Sale

Goodwill Southern California (Los Angeles) held a one-time, one-day only vintage clothing collection sale on Sunday, April 19 at its Community Enrichment Center at Fletcher Square in Los Angeles, CA. The overwhelmingly successful sale (the biggest in the Goodwill’s history) included thousands of pieces curated since the agency was established in 1916, including iconic items from nearly every era of fashion ranging from the late 1800s through the 1980s.

Dallas Mavericks and Goodwill Break Records with Donation Drive
